If you like browsing up and down aisles looking for your favorite author or perhaps hoping to discover someone new, this is the place to go. This store is jam packed with books and more. In addition to books, you may find puzzles, records, journals, collectibles, movies, and calendars. Books are well organized by category and author's last name. The employees are extremely helpful. Have a specific book you are looking for? Call ahead, and if they have it, they will hold it at the front for you for 3 days.
This is important-- Yes, they will buy your old books, but do not go up there expecting anything close to what you think is fair value. Take 2 boxes of books, and you are likely to be offered a few dollars if you are lucky. If this is going to upset you, sell them somewhere else, or donate them somewhere for free. However, if you just want to clear shelf space, get rid of them all at once, and avoid the guilt of throwing them away, this is the place for you. My all time low was 27 cents for 2 large grocery bags full, which I happily accepted since my bookcase was no longer overflowing.
They also sell gift cards which make great gifts or stocking stuffers at Christmas. My kids loved going with their Poppy to spend their gift cards when they were little. The children's area is perfect for little ones to sit and look through books while they make up their mind which one they are going to take home. Start a new tradition with your kids this year; I highly recommend it!
