  Have never had poor experiences others report! Always neat, when staff are walking around they always ask if you need help - and will help you, and figure out what coupons/discounts they can offer. Dillard’s $$$ shoe department could learn something from DSW!

  Kind and customer-oriented staff. Will be coming back! Went to DSW and had my heart set on a new pair of Birkenstocks. They had one pair left of the size, color, and style I preferred. Yay! However, the magnetized security tag would not budge. I assume it was just an old or faulty tag, but the entire staff rallied together to try and dislodge it from the leather strap. After a rigorous but unsuccessful group effort, The manager kindly apologized and offered to order me the same pair with a 15% discount— which makes a considerable difference for a $155 pair of shoes. So even though I didn’t leave with the shoes in hand, I had a good experience— and have a pair being sent to my home address for almost $25 cheaper than retail price!

  Huge store and inventory. Great finds. Drawback, a couple employees at checkout. Floor assistance has to be sought after.

  Great selection of New Balance and many other athletic shoes. No pressure environment where you can take your time trying things on and making your decision.
