Best Smart Start location in the DFW metroplex.
After visiting 7-8 "Smart Start" locations around DFW, I found one that truly understands the situation, and takes care of their customers with care.
"Too busy?" I read in some reviews as a negative aspect with which to complain. Perhaps there is a reason they are busy. When restaurants, hotels, and other service-related businesses are busy, that speaks to their reputation, quality of service, and customer-oriented staff; ergo, they're great at what they do. Josef and the other staff members at this location proved to be the only shop, I have experienced, who know the gear, proactively resolve customer issues, and treat customers with more respect than they likely deserve or are expecting. Those folks still get good treatment too, though.
These are the reasons I drove from Rowlett, TX (35-45 mins.) to the 1047 E HWY 121 Business location in Lewisville for all subsequent calibrations. This shop should be the role model that sets the bar for all Smart Start locations.
Keep in mind, those posting negative reviews, and believing they are a good source of info. Probably not their first rodeo (experience w/ IIDs). That said, time is important. On the other hand, correct calibrations are important too. They save you both time and money when considering the big picture.
To conclude, this is the best Smart Start location in the DFW metroplex. Y'all are the best!

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
Can I unplug my Ignition Interlock?
Check with your state authority to see if you are allowed to unplug your Ignition Interlock before doing so.
Can someone else drive my car?
Yes, but whoever is driving the vehicle MUST take a breath test and pass before driving. Any failed test will still be your responsibility.
