  I made a return today at the Katy Mills location. I made the online purchase at Memorial Mall & didn’t bring the online slip during my return (because I don’t need it) & was given a hard time to return a $27 pair of jeans. After waiting patiently in line for 15 mins, I was told that I needed the order number for my return. I explained that I don’t have the order number, but I had my email. I work in retail management & I worked at AE specifically 16 yrs ago, you don’t need an order number to return your order if you’re a member & have the email address or number you used to make the purchase & I’ve been a member since 2013 at least. During the interaction I asked the representative if he could just scan the item to see the order & he says he needs the order number. By this time I’ve already shared my telephone number & my account is on the pin pad. I explained that I could pull up my order number, but I would need to download my yahoo email app & it would take a moment. After I download the app he “finds” my order & processed the return. I’m filing a complaint with AE & leaving this review for the store. I didn’t need to download the app or provide an order number to process my return. I don’t like the way I was treated for no good reason.

  Very disappointed to have an employee working on 03/28 talk about a customers body, not very appropriate and very disrespectful. No one in retail should talk that way.

  If I could leave 0 starts I would!!! My husband only wears American Eagle until today!! He wears a 30/30 and always has. We have noticed that the last 2 times we bought him pants they are shorter and shorter. We bought 2 pairs and came home. He took off the tag and put them on to see if an outfit would work before washing and sure enough were a good few inches too short. We went back to the store with receipt and tags and explained that once again they were too short. We did not want a refund just an exchange for a longer length. We did not return the other 2 from a previous purchase and gave them away, over $150 on that transaction down the drain! The girl said she couldn't help us bc the tags were removed even though we had them and they had not been washed or anything. She then had the nerve to tell us that if we donated $160+tax worth of jeans(2pairs) she would give us a $10 credit to put towards a new purchase. That only added fuel to the fire and we left before we were insulted anymore!! After this experience we will NEVER shop at American Eagle ever again. Clearly from the pictures you can tell that the length is shorter and both are 30/30 and American Eagle!

  I had a pop the balloon to attend and I didnt know what to wear. I was nervous and unsure and just looking for help. Valeria helped me pull together a fit that looked right for my body type. She went above and beyond to be sure I was comfortable and happy. I’m sitting here looking for my AE receipt so I can give more direct feedback but I can’t find it…guess I have to come back to give her her cudos!
