  This review is for the “Aerie” division of American Eagle, which sells on the AE website and app (though, locally, has a separate storefront.) They have easily the worst shipping/customer service I have encountered in recent memory. First, in store, I tried to exchange a pair of pants I ordered online for a different size (miraculously, THAT package managed to arrive.). They don’t carry longs in store, so the sales clerk offered to exchange them for me and have the longs shipped to my house. Fine. But then she informed me the size I needed was out of stock online! I’d have to settle for a straight return. Okay fine - but when I got home, I decided to check. Surprise, surprise. They were NOT out of stock. But they WERE more expensive now that the sale was off. Oh well, I said, I want the pants, so I’ll order them again in the proper size. That was a mistake. With an “estimated arrival date” about 5 days from the date of purchase, I logged into the app every day, checking for progress. But no, it was interminably “processing.” I began to get suspicious. A chat with the laughably titled Customer Service AI informed me that it could take a week for my purchase to ship, so it couldn’t help me until a full 7 days had passed without change. Okay fine. I kept checking. And then - this really got me - on the evening of the seventh day, a FULL week…it suddenly marked as “shipped.” But, retroactively. Supposedly it had been “shipped” two days earlier and was awaiting pickup! Obnoxious? Yes. But at least I’d finally be getting the pants I’d already paid for. So I kept checking, and now…more than a week later…it STILL says “awaiting pickup.” Using the tracking number (which links to Amazon’s shipping service) reveals that Amazon has no idea where the package is. Back to AE to find out they can’t be bothered to assist a customer until a package has shown no progress at all for 14 days. We can now see how deviously clever the clown show has been, retroactively marking a package as “shipped” that hasn’t budged in over two weeks. By the time this is over they’ll have played for time so effectively that they had a full month to do absolutely nothing with my purchase. Dreadful experience. I’d give them zero stars if I could. I was wanting the pants for a specific event, and now will have to make other plans. I would NOT recommend buying anything from Aerie online, unless you have infinite patience, or infinite time…or both. Whatever you do, don’t expect decent customer service. I’m going to try to find another retailer for my loungewear.

  Went in to order leggings. The associate ordered the right pair wrong size and told me to call customer service to have them just trade them out but unfortunately it’s too late. Make sure if buying online from an associate that they get the correct sizing for you! Not impressed

  Jamie helped me find my actual bra size and recommended the absolute best bras to me based on just a little conversation. The help was much needed and deeply appreciated. I think they may be short-staffed right now, though, because they couldn't open on time the other day.
