- CWCristi WApr 19, 20261.0LOVE Madewell and have shopped at this store multiple times. Last time I came in, I had a large bag from the west elm store next door. And the manager(or shift lead possibly), was acting like we were shoplifters. Constantly following us around the store while my friend and I tried to shop. Not letting me hold a thing for more than a minute before offering to put it in the dressing room for me. Like, let me think about it for 2 seconds, jeez. It got to the point they “asked” if I would like for them to hold my bag. It was literally just placemats. The bag was annoyingly big so I said yes to get them off my back. Ended up spending like $250 since I did need new jeans. But overall it was such an uncomfortable experience. Specially as 2 Latina women. We may not “look” like we belong to you. But our money is just as green as the next persons. Definitely will be going to the highland village one from now on.
