The ladies that were working there today were above and beyond helpful with getting me fitted. I would come back to this store again
just due to customer service alone!

The ladies there are very helpful without being pushy! A little expensive, but you pay for whare you get! The clothes are very well made. I've had clothes I've purchased from there for over 10 years and they are still in good shape.

You must give at least 1 star to post a review ☹️ I frequent this location but I had a bad experience on Tues 😪 There's a new manager as well new associates. Camille was a sweet young lady and I look forward to shopping with her again.
I'm accustomed to entering the store and being greeted by name. That didn't happen. If someone said welcome to Lane Bryant, it wasn't loud enough to be heard from the door. Both new employees were at the register waiting on customers so I proceeded to walk around the store looking for new merchandise. Camille came over, asked if I needed help with anything & introduced herself. I gave her my name, informed her that I was there to pickup orders and place a new order. I would come to her when ready.
As I continued to shop around I crossed paths with Debbie. She made a strange face and asked what's wrong ( is something wrong) which threw me off coming from someone in a customer service position 😯 I said no welcome to LB, happy to see you, no familiar faces and no chairs. She says well we are happy to see you and the chairs are gone. We're making some changes. She was not professional or personable.
I continued looking around and needed a break. I sat on the edge of a table scrolling through my LB Wishlist (decidingwhattoorder). Brianna came over making small talk then informed me that she was sent to ask me to get off the table. I told her to have that person ask me to get off the table & let her know I'm a regular here.
Shortly after, Debbie walked over explaining something about a safety issue. I believe she said she didn't want me to get hurt 🤔 I simply replied thank you and continued scrolling. She says you're still sitting there and I replied yes, I'm a customer with health issues and I need to take a seat. I'm shopping. Debbie sarcastically said you're welcome to take a seat in the fitting room. That's where the chairs are and they're not coming out. As I said, we're making changes. Given the fact that I just left my Psychiatrist, I refused to let Debbie trigger my PTSD. I said OK, you could have said that in the beginning. Debbie steps forward and aggressively says you're not going to move? Now she's in my personal space. I didn't know if she was threatening me, was this an attempt to intimidate me or was she going to get physical. I'm hypervigilant so this made me very uncomfortable. I introduced myself by name and asked who she was. She said, I'm Debbie, I'm the new manager, this is my store! And walked away.
I proceeded to the register to complete my transactions and leave the store. As Camille took care of me, another customer asked to use the restroom. She was told no.
Now let's be clear, Debbie is white. I'm black, the associate she sent over to tell me get off the table is black and the customer asking to use the restroom was black as well. The restroom is for customers only. That lady wasn't a random person wandering in off the street. Debbie's interaction with white customers was very different than her interaction with black customers. This location has a predominantly black and Mexican clientele so this will end up being another location closed. There are white customers too but most of us are older, some on walkers or other assistive devices. There's nothing wrong with change but change is normally to better something. Her behavior is going to run customers away. She does not own Lane Bryant. It is not her store. The store belongs to the repeat customers spending hard earned money to keep it open.
I called customer service to file a formal complaint, waiting on response from upper management. This is my local Lane Bryant. I am a part of this community and I will not allow someone like this to run me off, disrespect me, make me uncomfortable or be rude to other customers. If you've had a bad experience, I urge you to call customer service or post a Google Review.
Before going to Social Media or contacting the local news to do a story, I'm going to give customer service the opportunity to address & resolve.
