  Hoy visité la tienda para comprar un pantalón en oferta. La vendedora me atendió bien, pero al salir del vestidor percibí una actitud incómoda por parte de tres empleados. Después de que pagué, todos se retiraron. Esa situación me hizo sentir observada y tratada con prejuicio. Fue una experiencia incómoda y desagradable. Un negocio depende de los clientes, que deben ser tratados con respeto. Nunca más los visitaré que Dios se lo pague.

  Patrick is the best! He helped me style a couple of my clients and made the experience so easy and smooth! If you go please ask for him. Although the entire store is sweet!

  Just got greeted, that’s all. From then on, I couldn’t get the attention of any sellers in the store, even after walking both the men’s and woman’s department twice. Sellers stood in a circle fawning over a white woman in her 50s deciding between two ugly raffia bags. Called the store to express my frustration and was told that they noticed I was upset but didn’t address it. They then basically said I wasn’t helped because I wasn’t as important as the other woman who was shopping, which is a crazy thing to say to someone after they’ve had a bad experience in your store.

  Korey and Donovyn delivered outstanding support during my visit. They were knowledgeable, attentive, and made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Their professionalism and skill reflect the high standard of service I expect from J.Crew.

  As a woman of color shopping at this location, I feel compelled to caution others to pay attention to how they are treated here. On more than one occasion, I have stood patiently waiting for assistance, only to be overlooked while a white customer behind me was acknowledged and helped first. During my most recent visit, I was waiting directly behind another customer at the counter when Danielle finished assisting them and asked, “Who’s next?” Somehow, despite standing there the entire time, I was bypassed while the white customer behind me received assistance instead. Unfortunately, this has happened to me multiple times at this location. I want to be fair and also acknowledge that several other associates — especially Manager Donovyn and the sales associates of color — were kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. My husband and I had only recently started shopping at J.Crew again, and this was my first visit without him. It’s disappointing that this was my experience. We will try again, online or working directly with Donovyn or Patrick.
