Love Bass Pro Shops. They have a wide range of merchandise. They are handicapped accessible. A couple isles were narrow for my large mobility scooter. The employees are always helpful and polite.

Beware, the price tag in the store (white not red) rings up a lot more when you get to register. Telescoping fishing pole $79, tag price $49. Trolling motor battery $129, tag price $119. I knew there was a reason I haven't shopped there in a long time! Never again! Deceptive, shady business!! Didn't buy either, walked out in discust!

Went to Bass pro to buy a new metal detector and ended up buying the minelab Xterra pro. I wasnt able to try it out till the next day It had a full charge and would power on but would not detect any metal whatsoever. I was disappointed I tried everything possible but it refused to work. I put it back in the box and returned it. Im happy to say that I guess it was just a bad detector I replaced it with the same model and it works perfectly. I did my best to explain what the other detector was doing which was pretty much nothing. They told me to grab another and it was simple and hassle free. I just wanted to say thanks to the guys and ladies working customer service they were very helpful and made it right. So I left this review to say thanks and I appreciate it the new detector works great I'm happy. I will be back to shop some more in the near future..5 stars..thanks again

Bass Pro has the inventory of an outdoorsman's paradise and the staff knowledge of two guys who got hired because they own camo shirts.
Last time I went to the gun counter, I asked the old-ish man if they had 7mm Rem Mag for boar. He said it was "too small for boar" because "that's smaller than a 9mm." This man works at a gun counter for a living. 7mm is arguable too big for boar.
Different trip. Asked the fishing department for a basic $30-60 ultralight spinning reel. Guy acted like I asked him to land the Mars rover because I didn't have the exact SKU memorized. "Unless you give me the exact product code I can't help you" Your website showed six in stock. Type "ultralight spinning reel" and hit enter. That's the whole job.
I've gotten better help at Dollar General.
The taxidermy on the walls has more hunting and fishing knowledge than anyone on payroll.
