Your Ignition Interlock installation appointment will usually only take up to an hour or two, depending on the make and model of your vehicle. We also understand the significance of working with your car – rest assured that our service technicians will take utmost care while installing the Interlock device.

After having your Ignition Interlock Device installed, you’ll need to have your device serviced regularly at a Smart Start service center. These visits can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Our trained service technicians will help you to answer any questions you may have concerning your device.

Removing your Ignition Interlock Device is simple! Before you submit a removal request, please check with your state authority that you are authorized to remove your device. It’s important that you only have your device removed at a Smart Start service center.

    Horrible customer service. So much misinformation from their representatives. They think their time and keeping you on hold or not responding in a timely manner is OK. I understand this is not a choice but we are paying for your services and I expect some transparency about how this system works. I have to abide by regulations and so should the company that provides them. I had the device for 4 days and drove my car twice and then got a notification that cartridge expired. There is absolutely minimal explanation of how the system works. It would be helpful to have some sort of guide at the time of installation and the FAQS on the app are completely useless.

    Absolutely the worst company I ever worked with. Their prices are 140 on phone 280 in person. They gave me 48 hrs to get calibration cost me 389 to push back two days cause I have a job. Not one time was their pricing even close to what they said. Usually triple. Avoid this business,absolutely garbage, extortion at its finest. Glad I beat my case. Will cost me "140" to remove ill post the actual price tomorrow DONT USE THIS BUSINESS THEY WILL ABUSE THEIR POWER They also broke my trailer brake system after cutting wires to install their thing. 190 to remove trailer brake now works hate this place
