- MWMonique Williams4 days ago1.0I stopped by JCPenney this morning to pick up a couple of hair products. The associate at the front counter, who is typically there, was on the phone discussing work schedules and who was coming in to work. I waited at the counter for about five minutes while she continued the conversation, even though she clearly saw me standing there. A simple acknowledgment would have made a big difference. She could have politely asked the person on the phone to hold for a moment or simply let me know she would be with me shortly. Instead, I was completely ignored.

She paused multiple times throughout our interaction as I was standing there silently to give me a judgemental look or make incredibly rude comments.i have not experienced that at any other JC Penny and was shocked at the behavior.

If the furniture has any damage or flaws after being delivered they will not correct the problem or offer any resolution. The customer service rep said I could return the furniture for a pick up and restocking fee. JCP corporate, with your numerous store closings you should look into how your customers are treated and how problems are resolved.

Customers should be treated with respect and courtesy, as they are in other businesses. Instead of being helpful, the staff came across as dismissive and unfriendly. I hope management addresses this issue and provides better customer service training in the future.
