Very disappointing experience at the Lululemon Baybrook Mall location
I know very well that the customer service at many Lululemon locations is not always the best, This is very obvious whenever you read the reviews for any of their locations, but what happened to me today at the Baybrook Mall location( Houston, Tx) was extremely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional.
I went in to have a pair of pants hemmed, which was actually my first time having Lululemon pants altered. I put the pants on in the fitting room, and an older lady employee came into the fitting room to take the length I wanted. She asked me, “Do you want them dragging on the ground?”
I paused for a second because I was trying to understand exactly what she meant, and I told her, “Not that much.” She repeated the question again, but this time with a very rude tone: “Do you want them DRAGGING on the ground?”
I paused again because I genuinely didn’t understand what length she was referring to , and because if I wanted them dragging to ground why im trying to have them altered !!! I asked her, “I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you mean. Could you show me what you mean?”
She responded with an annoyed and disrespectful attitude and said, “Oh my gosh,” in a very condescending way.
I was honestly shocked. I couldn’t believe someone could speak to a customer like that, especially over something so simple that would have taken only a few seconds to explain—and it’s literally part of her job.
At that point, I raised my voice and said, “Why are you talking to me like that? I don’t like the way you’re speaking to me. Please don’t speak to me like that.”
She then said, “If you don’t like the way I’m speaking to you, then I’m not going to do it. I’ll get someone else to do it.”
I said, “Yes, please do.”
A few minutes later, she sent someone who turned out to be the manager. He came with a fake smile and simply continued the interaction as if nothing had happened.
He asked me, “Do you want them dragging to the ground?”
I told him, “If you are the manager, and she brought you here to finish the job, and you are going to deal with me as if nothing happened, then who at this terrible place is actually going to listen to me about my bad experience?”
The issue was not the hemming or even the misunderstanding about the length. The issue was the disrespectful attitude and the complete lack of professionalism.
I expected, at the very least, an acknowledgment not for the situation to be completely ignored!
Very disappointing experience.
Never again at this location—or at any other place that doesn’t know how to treat people with basic respect.
And this is not the end of it. I will continue contacting the company by email and reporting this unacceptable incident until the people responsible are held accountable. I sincerely hope there is someone responsible within this company who will take this matter seriously and take appropriate action.
