My experience selling there was extremely disappointing. The attitude was unacceptable. If they dislike their job that much, they should consider working somewhere else

Walked in there today for the first time. Felt uncomfortable. I was standing at the register to sell my clothes AND shoes. Girl was talking to her coworkers and her coworkers watched me walk in and still didn’t acknowledge or let the girl know I was standing there. Acted like they didn’t want to give me service. I still got my ticket and as I’m driving back home, after 10 min I get a notification saying my stuff is ready. I’m like how if my ticket number says #63. They scanned through my stuff & im sure didn’t even try to look at it. I go back and they say my stuff is outdated and has wear and tear. Nun of my clothes were dirty or torn. They was named branded stuff like fashion nova, Zara, SHEIN. The shoes was some Nikes.
They asked me if I still wanted to donate and Immediately said no because I have name brand stuff in there I want to sell.
Smh … I’m sure they didn’t even look in the bag, they just tore off a piece at the top.

Ah yes, Plato’s Closet the place where your gently used, name-brand clothes are apparently worth about the same as pocket lint, but somehow end up on the rack priced like they’re designer collectibles.
Every time I come here, it’s the same routine. They’ll look through your items, act like they’re doing you a huge favor, and then offer you an amount that wouldn’t even cover a fast-food meal. Meanwhile, the store is full of overpriced items that somehow gained value the second they crossed the counter.
The business model seems to be: lowball sellers, overcharge buyers, and hope nobody notices. It’s getting really tired. At some point, you have to stop insulting people’s intelligence. If you’re selling here, just be prepared for them to tell you your stuff is practically worthless right before putting something very similar on the sales floor for ten times the price.
