  On 8/14/2026 I went to Belk and was helped by a young lady named Denise who was working at the front near the Menswear and she was very nice and knowledgeable. She was able to help me find exactly what I needed! 5 Stars for Denise!!

  Sunday afternoon, I stopped by Belk with one simple mission—to buy a bottle of cologne for my son. I went straight to the fragrance counter and picked up several bottles to sample. Unfortunately, there wasn't a single associate available to help with pricing or answer any questions. I noticed two sales associates standing with the Clinique representative, chatting and laughing. Assuming they were in a meeting, I browsed the Free People section for about 10 minutes before returning to the fragrance counter. When I came back, nothing had changed. The same three women were still talking, and no one acknowledged my presence or offered assistance. Eventually, they ended their conversation and started walking away. I tried to follow one associate, but she quickly disappeared into a back room. The Clinique representative approached me and said, "I would help, but I'm an independent Clinique sales representative," and then walked away. I finally asked another associate to send a manager to assist me. The manager never came. At that point, I left the store without making a purchase. I was genuinely disappointed by the complete lack of customer service. A simple greeting, acknowledgment, or "We'll be with you shortly" would have made all the difference. Instead, I felt invisible.

  I recently shopped at Belk Flower Mound and was disappointed by what I observed during my visit. Since a new manager took over after Philip left, the atmosphere seemed noticeably different. Based on what I personally witnessed, some female employees were spoken to in a dismissive and unprofessional manner. I also heard comments that gave the impression that certain employees were being viewed as less important because of their role, which was disappointing to hear as a customer. A friend of our family also chose to withdraw from a job opportunity after interacting with the manager, which reinforced our concerns about the workplace environment. Our family has shopped at Belk Flower Mound for years, so this is not feedback we give lightly. We value businesses where employees are treated with professionalism and respect, regardless of gender or position. Unfortunately, after this experience, we do not feel comfortable continuing to shop at this location unless there is meaningful improvement in the leadership and workplace culture.
