  They need to hire cashiers we better moral! I opened a JCP Card! I specifically told the cashier I would pay the balance of my transaction with my debit card. She swiped the JCP card without my permission. I attempted to make a return today to find out the return went to a card I NEVER used. I will never step foot on this store. When they close down I will not feel bad. Then they barely can speak English with nasty attitudes!!

  Very disappointing haircut experience at JCPenney Salon I took my 8-year-old son to JCPenney Salon for a haircut because school was about to start. We waited almost 30 minutes, so I expected the experience to be worth the wait. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. A stylist came over, and I showed her the haircut I wanted. She started cutting his hair, but my son told me that she was hurting him. He has had many haircuts before and knows what a normal haircut feels like, so I took his complaint seriously. He was not being difficult or moving around excessively—he was simply telling her that it hurt. Instead of calmly reassuring him and handling the situation with a child-friendly approach, she said that if he continued like that, she could not finish his haircut. She eventually completed it, but my son was very upset and literally crying because he was unhappy with both the experience and the haircut. What was most frustrating is that the haircut itself was very basic. I can do a similar haircut at home in about 10 minutes, yet we waited 30 minutes and then had this experience. I believe stylists working with children should have proper training on how to handle young customers, especially when a child says that something hurts. Customer service and communication are just as important as the haircut itself. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this salon for children's haircuts. I have had better experiences at Great Clips, where the stylists seem to have more experience handling children's haircuts and making kids comfortable. I hope JCPenney takes this feedback seriously and provides additional training for stylists, especially in working with children.
