  This really is the worse IHOP. The young gentleman who ended up being our waiter was great. But it was so understaffed and nobody knew what they was doing. The waiter made it a good experience but overall, it was pretty bad .

  What a horrible experience. The fitting-room attendant was rude as hell, and the store manager, Melissa, was no better. The fitting room has two entrances. One entrance had a sign saying shopping carts were not allowed. The entrance we used did not. We obviously do not work there, so how were we supposed to know? On top of that, there was no attendant there when we walked in. We stood around for several minutes sorting through our clothes before I went into a fitting room and my husband stayed in the main area with our cart. When the attendant finally showed up, instead of speaking to my husband like a normal person, she immediately started scolding him about the cart. When he explained that we did not know because there was no sign at the entrance we used—and because she was not even there—she snapped, “I don’t have to be here. It’s posted.” First of all, watch your tone. Second, no, it was not posted where we entered. If this rule is so important, put a sign at both entrances and stay at your post instead of getting mad at customers because you were not there to do your job. We asked for a manager. From what we were told, the manager’s response was basically that we had to go to the front because she was not coming to us. There was already an upset customer and an employee who kept making the situation worse, but apparently the store manager could not be bothered to walk over and handle it. That told me right away how seriously our complaint was going to be taken. The attendant then kept bothering my husband and trying to get another reaction out of him. After that, she came back to me and kept trying to explain herself. I told her several times that I heard what happened, did not need an explanation, and wanted her to leave me alone. She would not stop. If a customer tells you to leave them alone, then leave them alone. It is not complicated. We finally went to the front and spoke with Melissa. Her first concern was that my husband was recording. She said recording was not allowed because it was private property. Instead of apologizing, calming things down, or showing any real concern about how her employee treated us, she was dismissive and argumentative. She did not offer a single apology. Then, as we walked away, she sarcastically called out, “Have a good day.” Yes, that was the "Store Manager." The attendant was rude, aggressive, and would not leave us alone. Melissa showed no concern and handled the complaint with the same bad attitude. Clearly, the behavior starts at the top. Absolutely pathetic customer service. We will spend our money somewhere else.

  Offering $8 for a brand-new $48 pair of pants is insulting. After years as a loyal JCPenney customer, manager Brenda simply shrugged and said “sorry.” Pathetic customer service. Keep the $40—you lost a customer, a $4,000 account, and every future dollar I would’ve spent here.
