Another great Bass Pro shops…
The guy in the firearms section was very knowledgeable and I even looked at a couple of long guns… The old lady wasn’t trying to hear it so maybe next time…
Great store, except the female cashier we had was not too friendly and she didn’t have any people skills… maybe she was having a bad day…
🤷🏼♂️
Everybody’s entitled to not be in a good mood… Lol
But still, great place, lots of stuff for fishing, hunting, archery…

I had an outstanding experience at Bass Pro Shops, thanks to Mr. Paul Watt. From the moment he started helping me, he was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely interested in making sure I was taken care of.
Mr. Watt went above and beyond what I expected. He took the time to answer all of my questions, helped me find exactly what I needed, and made sure I was completely satisfied before I left. You can tell he takes pride in his job and truly cares about providing excellent customer service.
Employees like Mr. Watt are the reason customers come back. Bass Pro Shops is fortunate to have someone who represents the company so well. I highly recommend asking for Paul Watt if you need assistance he will take great care of you.
5 stars without a doubt. Thank you, Mr. Watt, for the exceptional service!

My experience with Bass Pro Shops in El Paso was extremely shocking and, in my view, raises serious concerns about how the general manager Brian O’Grady and management treat the local community and view their store management position.
I initially experienced an issue with an ATF Form 4473 during a purchase at the firearms counter. The transaction was erroneously delayed/denied because of an error, which was later reversed and resolved through the appropriate process. I have documentation regarding the reversal and in good faith was tryin to follow the correct procedures and processes , but somehow the people at bass pro shops began to treat me very differently and poorly and like I was a criminal.
The GM personally banned me and my entire family and began to converse as if he was a police officer or someone of legal authority and interpreting the law and regulations trying to admonish justify and explain why anyone who shares my address and related to me is also banned and they maintain a database to track all this data and information and create links between customers.
I was questioned and told to provide extensive personal documentation, including an FBI background history, identification/birth certificate, proof of citizenship/residency, and documentation concerning the 4473 reversal to meet his standard of assurance and doubt. I ultimately provided the requested documents because I wanted to resolve the situation and regain access to the store and prove my innocence and get my entire family unbanned . Deeply troubled by the situation and decision being made at the El Paso location by management I contacted Bass pro shops corporate “Head Camp” and department of supervisors.
They investigated the incident , and I was subsequently led to believe that the matter had been resolved. I understood that I and my family members were no longer banned and that I could return to the store and conduct business normally. The firearms supervisor personally later assured me that everything was fine and invited me back.
When I eventually returned, however, I was confronted by an armed security guard and numerous employees and was told to leave. I was told, “We don’t appreciate your business.” The experience was extremely uncomfortable and humiliating, particularly because I had previously been told that the situation had been resolved.
I subsequently contacted the corporate office of the company and the matter was reviewed for a second time by upper management, customer advocacy and very powerful executives . Following that review, I was informed that I was banned from every Bass Pro Shops, cabelas locations in the United States of America , but luckily my family is not banned (We take our wins when we can 🫶🏼)
What concerns me most is the lack of consistency and transparency throughout this process and the pattern of this type of behavior. I initially wanted to believe this kinda of process was rare and not possible in my hometown being asked to provide extensive documentation to establish that I had done nothing wrong, was then told the matter was resolved and invited back, and was ultimately confronted and banned anyway. They management and employees have a culture of doing this to their patrons and openly admit they are trying to protect their FFl license and stop weapon smuggling into Mexico.
I am sharing this review because this was my actual experience as a customer. I am not asking anyone to take my conclusions on faith. I encourage people to consider the sequence of events and the documentation involved.
I believe customers should be treated fairly, given accurate information about their status, and provided a reasonable explanation when serious action is taken against them. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Bass Pro Shops in El Paso.
