Poor customer service framed as great customer service. I thought I was delusional until I read another comment below that said her dark skinned husband got the same treatment.
I went in to return two uniform dresses out of 20 items I bought online for my daughter. This particular dress ran differently than the others, so she needed two sizes up from her normal size. Their return service sucks unless you return them to the store. So I made the long journey here.
Upon coming in I was instantly loudly greeted from behind the counter and the moment I said a return, mood vanished. The older white clerk was very passive aggressive. I tried to make light of the situation but she wouldn’t budge. She also tried to make me feel dumb at every turn instead of allow me to guide her when re-ordering my product. I told her the name of the product and she said what? That’s the name? As to say or is that just the description you’re giving it and not the actual name! And would go silent when I asked her questions as though I was annoying her. As though I couldn’t read or didn’t extensively search these things in the online kids store from home.
Very stern. Not warmth at all and I felt the attitude I received was due to the color of my skin. I could say more. But I love posting in google and I don’t think as a millennial I’ve had to post about racism but once.
Clothes quality is ok but I’d never order in person again because it’s clear they don’t want US there! Trust. We don’t want to be here either. Some schools require us to shop here. I’d rather support French toast at this point or Levines. I rest my case. Beware if your skin is darker than an Arnold Palmer. She greeted someone as I left, older white woman, totally different attitude.

We’ve ordered uniforms every year for the last 5 years from Lands End per our school requirements. I just received my order for this school year and I’m really disappointed in the quality of uniforms went down clothing. First, look at the difference in the belts. The new one with the silver buckle is cheap stuff fake leather and the old one (2023) was leather. Secondly, the golf shorts I order every year feel greasy and stink like chemicals . My whole laundry room gives me a headache from 10 pairs of shorts sitting on the counter even after washing them. Thirdly, the girls polo dresses are super thin and yucky feeling. They use to be a good weight cotton dress. Finally, the girls Peter Pan collared shirt use to be cotton and now it feels like polyester silky and yucky feeling as well. It’s thin and ugly. Please Lands End, so better. I will be encouraging our school to look elsewhere for uniforms. This is so sad. Please Lands End for the sake of our kids stop using chemicals in their clothes! This is disgusting and appalling considering we don’t have any other option this year for school uniforms. I just spent $700 as well! This is crazy!

Very comfortable sandals. I recently bought a pair and I hope I can find another pair in a different color😊
