It was good, but the only thing that I would say was bad was that we went to four different people asking for a specific type of NA book and all of them pretty much acted like that we were S.OL until we asked another person and they were helpful even though we never found our book.

Came here for the first and last time honestly don't waste your time you're better off going to the Rockwall HPB its much friendlier and cooler inside. We walk in and notice there's very little labeling anywhere in the store, i walked down quite a few aisles looking for different things which they have HEAVILY unorganized shelves, very crappy selection of popular books like pete the cat, the store is extremely hot inside i honestly don't think the AC unit works if they have one, absolutely no employee in sight unless you're at the register which you'll see two. My mom asked an employee she managed to find for a kids author which the employee says "they're over there" pointing to the kids section so my mom says "yeah I know that but I can't find them" and the employee says "well that author has a lot of books".. if the employees don't want to do their jobs then please do customers a favor and actually label shelves and organize better
Not to mention the cashier that checked us out was extremely rude, didn't say hi, didn't ask if we found everything alright and honestly didn't even say a single word to us when we were paying she just stared off into space and took her a minute to realize we already paid before giving us a receipt. We will not be back in this store

You never know what someone is going through. I came to the store for the first time today after a rough day. I was excited to see the flagship and escape into books to calm my mind. Unfortunately I wont be coming back to this location. A book event was apparently going on and I witnessed an employee with a shaved head and glasses speak to several guests in a dismissive, short and rude way. I understand working in a big city can cause one to develop a thick skin but I witnessed several people's faces drop after their interactions with the employee as I read nearby. Maybe the employee was going through something themselves so I'd like to extend them the grace they didn't extend to others but their behavior was so disheartening to watch. Spread positivity, speak with kindness, show love to strangers. Sad that my experience at this store went this way. Im sure that there are many lovely employees but it was truly not appropriate to see them yelling at people who simply inquired about the event.

This is an awesome and magical book store. It has a huge collection of new & old books, a cafeteria, a vault for collectibles, lots of art & toys & crafts and most importantly a great vibe! Any time I visit this place I get into a joyous mood. Great for kids as well.

The biggest Half Price Books in DFW! I always find absolute gems here!! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! They are very patient and kind while helping you find books in their inventory. If they don’t have it in their store, they are able to order it and have it shipped to the store. They can also see if other locations have it and will even help you by calling the store and placing a hold on it for you. They have got a pretty big clearance section. Parking here is no problem. The main parking area in the front is huge and they also have a bit of parking on the side and out back. The restaurant there is delicious! Their staff is also very friendly and the food service is quick! They also have craft nights, i believe once a month, which are super fun! and every now and then i see groups of people playing mahjong.
