  An absolute paradise for book lovers! This location is clean, brightly lit and incredibly well organized. The staff is always welcoming and happy to help. It's impossible to walk out of here empty-handed.

  Largest half price books I've been to. They have a large selection of books and staff are super friendly. If I need a book and don't know where to look, the staff will help me find it easily.

  HPBs is so uncanny, there’s so much disparity in one store, imagine what shopping at several stores would reveal. A whole shelf of Shakespeare books at 6’ high FELL ON ME & the lady essentially just moved me out of the way so she could clean up. Neck pain, left elbow hurting from trying to keep all the weight from falling on me at their HUGE store in Dallas. Here’s a brand new, still wrapped set of books & another set that’s a little banged up, the girl that was cleaning up said essentially that they were bought at different periods in time. R E A L L Y ?? I’m not stupid, there’s just little organization in their pricing. I could photograph many examples & they REFUSE to negotiate with buyers, I’ve had to walk away once before with a shopping cart full of books. They used to help out a long time ago but now they’re just a different store.

  My favorite place to go study or peruse books, videos, music, and games when I was in grad school at SMU. Amazing selection of books that were not accessible or expensive elsewhere. Flagship HPB will always be a special place to me

  DO YOU LIKE BOOKS ? If you do, you must come and see this site ! When visiting my sister, she and I, would always go here. This is a MASSIVE Bookstore ! It's the hub for all of its stores. Once, San Marcos, had a Half Price Bookstore, but it closed. It was located in a flood plain area. And after a bad flood, water came into the store, doing serious damaged. That's why I like going to this Bookstore in Dallas. I wander from one area to another, looking at catagories, and seeing what is there ? I like many catagories. Some are, The Arts, architecture, paintings, crafts, and all aspects of classical music. I'm not looking for anything special. And that's what is fun in seeking something out. Usually I can find something like older National Geographic Magazines, some with their maps. I did find a beautiful oversized hardback with photos on the ballet duet, Margo Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureyev. Come, Visit, Seek, this Store ! You will spend many happy hours here ! I'm sure whatever author you want, is probably here !
