  Kanmi, and I apologize if I spelled her name wrong. She was the perfect example of amazing customer service, I appreciate how she gave me advice about the shoes I was buying as well as being patient with me and my questions. Thank you so much.

  The cashier had an extremely nasty and unprofessional attitude during my visit today. Her tone and manner of communication came across as very rude and dismissive, and I felt as though I was being treated like an inconvenience rather than a customer. What made the experience even more frustrating was an interaction involving a pair of shoes I was interested in purchasing. I watched the cashier attempt to remove a stain from the shoe using hand sanitizer. When that did not work, she then reached for disinfecting wipes. I had to stop her and tell her that I did not think using disinfecting wipes on the shoe was a good idea because it could potentially damage or discolor the material. At that point, I was genuinely confused as to why I had to point that out myself. Rather than simply asking a manager or someone knowledgeable about how to safely clean the shoe, she proceeded as though using whatever was available was appropriate. Her response to me was also dismissive, and she gave me a look that made the interaction even more uncomfortable before finally calling a manager. Customers should not have to intervene to prevent an item they are considering purchasing from potentially being damaged. If an employee is unsure how to properly handle a product, the appropriate response should be to ask a manager or another knowledgeable employee - not experiment with cleaning products. Additionally, she was not wearing a name badge like her coworkers, which made it difficult to identify her when providing feedback about the interaction. Regardless of the circumstances, customers should be treated with basic courtesy, respect, and professionalism. The way I was treated today was unacceptable and left such a negative impression that I will not be returning to this location.

  Large selection of shoes. Clearance section rear of store. Was confused at first with additional 60% off because shoes sizes were mixed and you have to search your size. Found 2 pair for my wife and a pair of sneakers for my niece.

  Just went to DSW to pick up a pair of hiking boots and at checkout Gina Had the biggest attitude and horrible customer service. And then when I said it’s OK to smile in a very polite, nice way she just looked at me with hateful vengeance and asked for the next person in line as she rolled her eyes. Mind you I do like the products at DSW and they’re a good store, but be better at training your personnel.
