She literally acknowledged the issue and handed you cash for the exact same sizing problem earlier in the day, only to completely change her tune and become hostile when you came back with the layaway sets. Here is the updated, high-impact review: Google Review: Hostile Management & Withheld Property Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Unacceptable, hostile treatment by the manager on duty at 5:40 PM on July 9. Paradoxically, this exact same manager had given me a cash refund earlier that day for a $70 tracksuit (pants/jacket) after I explained the sizing issues. I used that cash right back at the register to finish paying off my layaway for three short sets. I picked them up at 12 PM, went home, tried them on, and returned by 5 PM because the vinyl fabric has no stretch. Each set is an $85 refund value. I checked the sales floor, but nothing fit except a 5X. A store credit is useless when a store lacks your size, and I refuse to trap nearly $200 on left-over inventory. Instead of leaving a note for the store manager as requested, she snapped that I was "pissing her off" and ordered me to leave. She even pre-emptively had a coworker call security to intimidate me before we properly spoke. Because I was completely calm, the guard wasn't concerned at all, forcing her to dismiss him. Credit to the guard for professional de-escalation; the manager completely failed as a leader. Where this crosses the line is that they are actively withholding my paid property. I never signed a refund agreement. When I compromised and asked her to just use the gift card she forced to buy my original items back so I could leave with my merchandise, she refused and forced me out. I left with my receipt, went straight to the Dallas Police Department, and filed a report for withheld property. Escalating to corporate. Do better.
