  Okay so it's like if cabela's, dick's, academy, water sports stores, and those malls toy stores all had a thing going on and they didn't know which one that love child belong to so they just take bits and pieces from every one of them and put it together and then added a Lego store and a ferris wheel. They also had a little aquarium overhead like when you walk in kind of like the ones at Rainforest Cafe. It had Cafe inside and a candy store and I think I had something else but I didn't really go on those. There's only two sets of bathrooms and they are both in the back corner of the store by the elevators. It was a very interesting store. If you like the fish like all the stuff on the second floor that was actually pretty neat so they had a pretty decent selection. And I will give them a Kudos because they did have some women Waders I just didn't see any like women outdoor boots and I did find that they still catered a lot more to the "men only hunt" and that was a bit annoying but there was some silver linings. I will say that the store is super hot. And there are little pockets that you can just stand under the fans but it is hot. the ferris wheel is in the middle of the store that was interesting and people were getting on it. I will say that I did find that a good portion of their clothing especially on the women's side and I'm sure it's the same for the men's I don't know I didn't really look but I found that they were a bit excessive on price especially on brands that I never heard of before. I'm not saying I wouldn't come back but it's definitely something you have to prepare for and make sure you bring water or get water while you're inside because it is like I was in there for 2 hours. I will say I do find that the size of the store should have bigger bathrooms

  Y'all! This place is next level! I saw brands I've never seen before! If you want a name brand item they probably have it! This place just recently opened so it is a busy place! Let me tell ya some people parked so far away and walked a mile! That might be slightly exaggerated but they parked way farther than I would have. I drove around until I found someone pulling out and I snagged there spot. Right when you walk through the doors the registers are there with archways of fish tanks right after them and beyond that is the indoor ferris wheel that you can ride on for $1! The cups I was looking for were on the second floor so I found the elevator with the sales woman help, since I had my baby in the cart and I was not about to climb those stairs holding my baby and several cups. The elevators if I remember right are to the far left in the back in case you were wondering. I wasn't able to stay long I got what I was looking for and got out but there are so many cool things that I'd like my kids to experience. I think I saw and arcade area and they have a fun western shooting game upstairs too. You'll have to go even if you just want to look around at all the cool stuff and get ideas maybe for Christmas? 🤔 well its coming up might as well get some ideas as you window shop with your kids.

  Impressive store, but I think the hype is bigger than the shopping value. I visited SCHEELS Cedar Park on Saturday, September 5, about a week after it opened. I purposely waited because the first-week crowds and social media reels were absolutely crazy. The store itself is definitely impressive. The aquarium, wildlife displays, indoor Ferris wheel and overall design make it feel more like an entertainment destination than a sporting-goods store. The parking lot is enormous, but even then I had to struggle to find a spot. However, it was extremely crowded inside. There were long lines for the Ferris wheel, coffee (around 30 minutes), ice cream, etc. Interestingly, despite the huge number of people inside, the checkout areas weren't nearly as busy. It felt like many people were there for the experience rather than actually shopping. My biggest disappointment was the pricing. A lot of products felt very expensive, with even regular jeans around $130 and not many cheaper alternatives. I noticed Ridge wallets being sold at full price, while the same brand's official website was offering similar products at around 40% off. I found this kind of price difference with several items. I understand that the store is new and may have fresh inventory, but I expected at least some Labor Day or opening-week promotions. Honestly, I think some of the current craze is because Austin has very limited indoor entertainment during this brutal Texas heat. SCHEELS gives families a huge air-conditioned place to walk around, see the aquarium, get coffee or ice cream, ride the Ferris wheel and spend a few hours. So yes, definitely worth visiting once for the experience, especially with kids. But if you're going there primarily to shop, compare prices online before buying anything. The store is impressive, but I don't think the current hype translates into great shopping value.

  I had never been to a Scheels before, so I didn’t know what to expect. When I walked in, I was truly surprised to see a giant aquarium and a Ferris wheel all inside the store! It was packed on a Saturday, but I thought they did a great job managing the crowds. Despite how busy it was, the store didn’t feel chaotic, and every employee I interacted with was very nice and professional. A couple of things I didn’t like were the angled parking and how difficult it was to find certain things in the store. I know the developer was probably trying to maximize the number of parking spaces, but having one-way lanes throughout the parking lot doesn’t seem very efficient. If someone accidentally goes the wrong way or waits for another car to back out of a space, it can quickly create a traffic jam. As for finding things inside the store, it’s a massive place. I asked three different employees where I could find swim caps and goggles so I could check out their selection, and all three pointed me to different parts of the store. That’s something that could probably be improved with better training or wayfinding. Okay, enough about the things I didn’t like! The store itself is almost like a theme park, and you could easily spend a lot of time exploring it. There are even mini stores and attractions within the store, including a candy shop, cafe, and plenty of cool themed spots for photos. As an architect, I found the second floor more exciting, with its high ceilings and natural light. The first floor, on the other hand, felt a little more confined since much of it is underneath the second floor. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and looking forward to coming back and exploring more when it’s a little less crowded!

  Scheels All Sports: The Sporting Goods Store That Accidentally Hosts a Daily Human Stampede I popped into Scheels “just to check it out,” and apparently so did every single person in Cedar Park. I’m not exaggerating. At one point I’m pretty sure I saw my mailman, three coworkers, and at least one guy who looked like he was just trying to escape the crowd but couldn’t find an exit. But honestly, the place is such a spectacle you kind of understand why the entire population showed up. You walk in and boom! Giant aquarium, keep walking... Ferris wheel. Turn a corner, up the stairs, past the animatronic dianasour and wham! Full candy store. Keep walking... Archery range, turn right, bowling alley. Keep going... Shooting simulator. Want more? Batting cage. Hungry from all the exploring? No worries, there's the cafeteria. It’s like Bass Pro, Disneyland, and a county fair had a very energetic baby. The staff? Ridiculously friendly. The kind of friendly where if you stood still too long, someone would help you find a kayak, a hoodie, or the meaning of life. And somewhere in the middle of this cheerful human traffic jam, I spotted a killer deal on a shotgun—the kind of deal that makes you stop, blink twice, and say, “Well… I guess I’m buying a shotgun today.” So yes, I went in to browse and walked out with a new boomstick. Scheels: 1. Me: 0. The crowd, though… It wasn’t just busy. It was biblical. It was Noah’s Ark but everyone showed up early. It was the kind of crowd where you start drafting behind strollers like you’re in the Daytona 500. Still, the chaos was almost charming. There’s something hilarious about trying to admire a beautiful aquarium while 47 kids reenact Finding Nemo at full volume and someone’s grandma is yelling “HOLD HANDS, WE’RE IN THE WILDERNESS!” In short: Scheels is awesome. Scheels is wild. Scheels is everything. Just don’t go expecting a peaceful stroll—you’re going to battle through a cheerful, gear‑loving human tsunami. And you might accidentally buy a shotgun. Honestly? That’s part of the fun.
