  The store itself is fine, and the staff are friendly and helpful. My only bad impression was that the salesperson was really trying to steer us toward the Meta Ray Bans. I get the whole point of this job is to make a sale and a possible commission, and I wouldn't be surprised if Meta had some sort of deal with Sunglass Hut to peddle their products more than others, but I found the sales tactics to be ultimately disingenuous to the buyer. When first receiving the sales pitch for it, I raised my concerns about privacy towards Meta's Ray Bans. When I did so, I was given the rebuttal along the lines of "it doesn't collect any more data than what your phone collects". Uh hello, 1) it's Meta (we seem to collectively forget as users the whole point of this company is to collect and sell as much of our data to the highest bidder, remember Cambridge Analytica?) and 2) it's literally AI glasses you wear on your face. That is an entirely new way to collect data otherwise not available via the mobile platform. Meta is constantly changing its policies to be able to collect more data to train its AI models, and to give users less control over what data is collected and stored. Plus, selling people on being able to walk around recording without needing consent from others in said recording is in my opinion creepy and fertile ground for more surveillance in America nobody asked for. I work in data, and think either 1) the salesperson just didn't understand how data works fundamentally or 2) that is deceptive sales tactics. I would caution those entering this store to be aware of this and be as informed about these products as much as possible.

  Everyone at the Sunglass Hut Domain has always been super helpful. Their warranty program is great. I recently returned after one year and swapped out my glasses for a different pair and paid the difference in price. Well worth the money and I’m thrilled with the new pair. I will definitely be back.

  I love my polarized Ray Bans that I bought at this location a few years ago. I was going on a trip to Cali and needed the sunglasses re-fitted. Reagan at The Domain Austin location was very helpful and professional. He took the time to truly re-fit the glasses. He took pride in his work, which was so nice to see.
