  JC Penny used to be one of my favorite stores. Now, I am disappointed "Every Time" I'm in this store. First, they are extremely deceiving in the way they display sale items. They have a rack of clothes with an "ad" item but the clothes in the rack are not on sale. You have to read the "very fine print" on the ad to make sure you don't get cheated at the checkout. Another thing that I get frustrated with is, the Disney Line checkout system. Yesterday, my wife and I had one item to purchase, we stood at their large checkout with two people working behind the counter. One person was checking out one customer with a lot of stuff. The other person was fiddling with things and walking back and forth talking to the other checkout clerk. My wife and I stood there in this line for several minutes being ignored. After what seemed to be at least 5-minutes, the salesclerk that was ignoring us and fiddling behind the counter, started to help someone else that walked up to the side counter. My wife couldn't believe that after being ignored like we were, she decided to help someone else. So, we left this Disney Line checkout area and went to the cosmetics area to checkout (which we have done many times before). And they refused to check us out. They said that because we have clothing, we have to go to the main checkout area. Again, we had only one item and we have used this cosmetics checkout before when the main one has real long lines. Because of the shortness of the clerk in cosmetics, we just left the items on the counter in jewelry and left. This is the reason I don't shop here very much anymore. If I'm this disappointed with the deceptive pricing practices and being ignored using the Disney Line Checkout system, maybe I'm not the only one. This could probably be why so many other customers stopped shopping at JC Penny and why some many JC Penny stores have been closing. Like I said at the start of this, JC Penny used to be one of my favorite stores. Now, I am disappointed "Every Time" I'm in this store. I spend more money at Dillards because of how I'm treated at JC Penny.

  We have had the absolute worst experience with their jewelry department and the manager is a handful to deal with. Biggest headache we’ve ever experienced. They refunded and took our already sized ring without confirmation that is what we wanted to do along with refunding said ring without all the pieces and then make it out to be our problem. We never agreed to return said ring. The Hispanic lady took my ring out of my hand and returned it without confirmation. And then we go back to try and repurchase a ring due to a time crunch and they charged our card without authorization.
