- JDJ DJun 27, 20263.0Staff is polite if they notice you. Prices are high. Store is clean and confirmation. Most items are priced clearly and sales signs are out. They do have good quality products though, especially in clothing brand and kitchen/bathroom stuff.
- KAKathy AdkinsJun 26, 20261.0I went to jcpenney on 6/6/26 to purchase a gold chain. I bought a 14K 24" glitter chain and paid $595.38. I did not purchase a service plan. Today, 6/26/26, while adjusting the chain around my neck, it broke. I was heartbroken because I wore a small, diamond encrusted cross pendant on this chain that my husband purchased for me. In looking at the return policy on jewelry, it looks like I am out of luck on returning or exchanging it. I stopped at a reputable jeweler in town and asked him if he could repair it. He said he could, but in looking closely at the chain, he found 3 other places that also needed repaired. He explained that this chain is hollow which basically means the metal is folded over, not solid. I had no idea when I purchased it that it was not a solid chain. No wonder it broke so easily. The repair is going to cost $160 if I have him solder all places on the chain that need it. I'm going to have him solder the one severe break so hopefully I can get a little more wear out of it. I will never purchase a piece of jewelry from jcpenney again. If this chain had been a solid chain, it would not have broken so easily. I do want to mention that the sales person who took care of me that day was very friendly and helpful. I did not have any issues with him.
