This store has horrible customer service. They carry on conversations and then just stare at you. I was never asked if I needed help or anything. I did try on bras and was ready to buy two of them. I just put things back and walked out.

Just came in today to get a tag removed from a purchase I had made a while ago. I’ve had no time to get it removed or go to the store for personal matters and wanted to get it off today. The lady who was trying to take off the security tag was INCREDIBLY rude to me. I could tell she was accusing me of stealing it and before trying to find other options (since I brought the wrong receipt) she seemed to be trying to take it from me and told be to “buy it”. At the end she found the purchase from my card history and did not once apologize after making myself look like a thief in front of the whole store. I will NEVER shop here again. I have never felt this level of disrespect before. That lady was a VILLAIN.

I feel like the store associates have slowly gone downhill over time. I used to work for American Eagle & Aerie at this location and it's disappointing that I no longer want to visit this store and would prefer to drive to Nashville to get my Aerie items. The store associates are dry and spend more time chatting with each other than checking on customers. They cherry pick who they greet and want to talk to and ignore others. While being there it definitely seems to be that if you a skinny, white, and/or blond you get better interactions than if you aren't. I was trained to never fold bras and yet the last several times I have gone in to buy a bra, the girl checking me out folded the bras into each other and shoved them into a tiny bag.

***update *** went back to aerie with my phone and order confirmation email this time and did get a refund. They initially wanted me to sign up for an aerie account this time around. They said I could not return or exchange without an account. SO MANY UNWRITTEN RULES!! As soon as I got there one of the employees recognized me, I guess, because she went around and whispered to each employee and they all stopped what they were doing and listened and stared. Even though there were plenty of things I could have said to them and about them, I was never mean or rude to them. Aerie should really reevaluate who they are hiring to work for their stores and probably their employee dress code as well. While the cashier that gave me the refund this time was respectful and pretty professional, she still didn’t know Aerie policies. Aerie at the Avenue must hire anyone, because one of those girls should NOT be allowed to work with the public. She tapped her fake nails on the counter almost the entire time I was trying to speak except when she was fixing her hair. I could hardly hear what she was saying or concentrate on what I needed to say. I found it very obnoxious and rude. She had no idea what she was doing. She had to ask the other girls how to do every little thing. None of them knew the return policies. They refused to let me exchange two new items that were still sealed inside of the plastic they were sent in. Said I HAD to have a receipt to exchange even thought there was not one sent with the order. Also told me they could not take online items because they don’t carry them in their store. Everything they told me contradicted everything that their policy states. I ended up leaving mad, and if they think I didn’t see them rolling their eyes and whispering to each other…they are wrong. I will never buy from them again. Terrible service.
