The vision of our 501(c3) nonprofit organization is that ALL people have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential through the power of work.Goodwill of Middle Tennessee is based in Nashville, TN, and serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee. Although affiliated with Goodwill Industries International in Rockville, Md., we operate independently through our own governing board of directors. Goodwill accepts gently-used items that donors no longer want, need or use. Those items are sold, and the revenue helps fund job training services and programs provided by Goodwill Career Solutions. In addition to retail sales, Goodwill depends on several other revenue sources, including state and local grants.

- DDdiyuquagJul 20, 20264.0Rivergate location. Might want to lower your prices to thin out the stuff piled up on the shelves and falling off. After all, everything was donated to you for free but some of the prices are the same as if it were brand new.

- SJSamantha JohnsonJul 1, 20264.0I wanted to recognize Robert S. for providing outstanding customer service. He went above and beyond to help us locate a piece of furniture we had already purchased. He was patient, professional, and genuinely committed and kind to making sure everything was handled correctly despite also being injured and probably should not have been loading our furniture. Employees like Robert are a huge asset to Goodwill, and we truly appreciate the care he took to help us. Unfortunately, our experience with the manager on duty was the complete opposite. She was loud, rude, and abrasive, not only toward customers but also toward her own staff. Watching employees be spoken to in such a demeaning manner was uncomfortable and disappointing. A positive workplace starts with respectful leadership, and that was clearly lacking during our visit. Robert’s professionalism turned what could have been a much more frustrating experience into a positive one, and he deserves recognition for the way he represents Goodwill. I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and works to ensure all employees are treated with the same respect and professionalism that Robert showed us.
