The vision of our 501(c3) nonprofit organization is that ALL people have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential through the power of work.Goodwill of Middle Tennessee is based in Nashville, TN, and serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee. Although affiliated with Goodwill Industries International in Rockville, Md., we operate independently through our own governing board of directors. Goodwill accepts gently-used items that donors no longer want, need or use. Those items are sold, and the revenue helps fund job training services and programs provided by Goodwill Career Solutions. In addition to retail sales, Goodwill depends on several other revenue sources, including state and local grants.

- KFKeely FergusonJun 25, 20261.0I regularly visit this Goodwill as it’s a few minutes away from my job. Today I went in and saw a beautiful plant stand in the furniture section. It had the customer tag and the regular furniture tag (aka unclaimed) so I put it in my cart and kept shopping. While I was in an aisle I heard someone behind me say, “There is is,” and then a tall male employee with a big beard (seemed like a manager) walked up to my cart and started to remove it before even saying a word to me. When I said excuse me he looked up and said it had already been claimed by someone. Before I could even argue that it still had its tags and was on the floor he was walking out of the aisle. Only when another patron in the aisle made a big deal out of it by saying he was rude did he say “so sorry” while walking away. It was a very pretty antique plant stand so my only assumption is someone that worked there wanted it considering he wouldn’t even look me in the eyes or explain further. It was so embarrassing and odd that I left my cart and walked out. I go here at least once every two weeks but I will not be going back. I have heard others complain about him while in the store but now I see why. Disgusting behavior!!
- ANAaron NJun 19, 20264.0Store feels a little bit picked over but it was absolutely crawling with people at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday so cannot blame the store for a massive influx of clientele. Plenty of clothes that may need to add more shelves or home goods.

Prices have LITERALLY doubled and tripled…“But the cost of everything is going up, so we have to” NO YOU DONT. You aren’t paying your employees more… so where is the money going? Maybe the big wigs so they can afford nicer vacations? WE ARE SICK OF THIS, DO BETTER
