In addition to retail sales, Goodwill depends on several other revenue sources, including state and local grants.

I love this store, I haven’t had a bad experience there until today (5/4/26) somewhere between 1045-11am I was in line to check out. The manager was called to the register for assistance with a return. As the manager worked on assisting the clerk she was speaking to another employee. Her tone was very rude and hostile. She told her “You spoke to ____ right?” “Because I was unaware this was even an issue” again her tone was very hostile and this is coming from a person who served in the Marine Corps for several years, I was used to this type of hostile environment and treatment. When the manager finished with the return she simply walked away and left the clerk with his hands out holding the items for her to take. He just turned around after realizing she didn’t acknowledged him and continued working. Earlier that morning I overheard the conversation between the employee and the other person, a well dressed tall woman with a name tag. A regional manager perhaps, she spoke very professional and with an understanding tone to the employee and assured her that the issue that had been brought up would be addressed. The conversation was about some type of cross training option and other things. I’ve supervised and managed for my previous two employers and that is exactly the way the conversation should have been handled. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to grow up with a sibling that is differently abled. He is the sunshine to any rainy day and will always be the most beautiful person in this entire earth to me. Witnessing that manager use that tone and not even look at the general direction of the employee was infuriating. The manager simply said it out loud in front of the two full lines of costumers like she felt blindsided by the employee speaking to the other person about her issue. The young lady that was being spoken to seemed scared and exposed. People living with different abilities already have it hard enough growing up in this ugly world they don’t deserved that treatment. That young lady did not deserve to be spoken to in that manner. She sadly walked away to the furthest register and stood behind another employee, her expressions lost and looking around with an internal cry for help that she couldn’t express. I could feel my blood boil. All I could think of was my little brother and the last 20 years he has had to face this world and the disgusting behavior of some people. I will be making a formal complaint with corporate about this issue there is no room for behavior like that. If you are unaware of your employees needs it is your own fault as a leader. You need to make yourself available to them and let them know expressing themselves is ok. KELLY is her name. She needs to be fired.
