Unfortunately, my experience at the Knoxville Nordstrom Rack fell remarkably short of that standard. I was treated so poorly by one of the cashiers that I left genuinely taken aback. What made the experience even more disappointing was discovering that this employee is also a member of the management team. Management should model professionalism and customer service—not be the reason a loyal customer walks out questioning whether they will ever return. I don’t expect special treatment. I do, however, expect basic courtesy and respect when I choose to spend my money somewhere. Knoxville has no shortage of places to shop, and many of them understand that customers have a choice. Nordstrom has spent decades building a reputation for exceptional customer service. It’s unfortunate that one interaction—and particularly one involving a member of management—can do such an effective job of undermining it. Extremely disappointing. I’ll be much more selective about where I spend my money going forward.

I won’t be wasting my time with this particular location again, and my experience here has turned me off to the brand as a whole.
