The hand unit on the device they installed in my vehicle was broken from day 1!! When I would attempt to use it the hand unit would come unplugged most every time. Not knowing that when the device is on and the hand unit is unplugged it is a violation!!! These violations eventually caused the unit to go in to Lockout Mode. So I had to return here to have the unit serviced. When I tried to explain to this most abnoxious and rude young lady what was going on with the device, she repeatably interjected, that I was the one at fault!! Sometimes, not even allowing me to finish my sentence!! I was forced to say pay an additional 64 dollars to have the device unlocked!! I am now trying to.find another place to have my service transferred to them as soon as possible!! The was definitely right about one thing for sure, I was at fault from the beginning.... And wrong too!!! For ever bringing my vehicle to HER SHOP!!! SHE KNOWS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE OBVIOUSLY!!!! Because in any and every place of business that I have ever been in, THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!!

What do I need for removal?
Requirements will differ by state, but generally your state authority must grant removal authorization before you can have your IID removed. You will then need to fill out the Device Removal Request form on our website and upload any official documentation that may be required to authorize the removal.
Do I need an Interlock Device on all of my vehicles?
Some states will require that you have an Ignition Interlock Device installed on all cars registered to you, but most states will just require that whichever vehicle you drive have an IID installed. Check with your state authority to see if you will need an IID installed on all of your cars.

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.
What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.

Can someone else drive my car?
