  I purchased an FN 510 Tactical expecting a reliable premium firearm, but my experience was extremely disappointing. After only about 80 rounds, the pistol became completely unreliable. Nearly every shot resulted in a malfunction. This wasn't normal break-in behavior or an occasional issue—it was a major reliability failure in a firearm that was practically brand new. Sportsman's Warehouse sent the gun back to FN for repair. About three weeks later, it was returned, but neither FN nor Sportsman's could tell me what was wrong with the firearm or what had been repaired. That was the most frustrating part of the entire experience. If a gun fails after less than 100 rounds, customers deserve a clear explanation of the defect and the corrective action taken. Imagine buying a new vehicle, having it break down almost immediately, and then getting it back from the shop with no explanation of what failed or what was fixed. That's essentially what happened here. Because I was never given a reason for the failure, I had no way to know whether the underlying issue had actually been resolved. As a result, I completely lost confidence in the firearm and ultimately sold it. I also attempted to leave a review on their website describing this experience, but it was never published. While I can't speak to the reason, it was disappointing given that prospective buyers should be able to see both positive and negative customer experiences when making a purchasing decision. The website seems inflated with possible fake reviews. Overall, I expected far better reliability, transparency, and customer communication from a firearm in this price range. I won't be purchasing another gun from Sportsman's warehouse now.

  Ordered from S.W. many times online. Decided on a rainy Thursday 6/18/2026 to take the ride down and walk the store. Friendly employees throughout the store. Spent most of my time in the fishing side but did walk over to the firearms to browse. Gentleman behind the counter greeted me and was cordial. Prices, compared to Cabelas, were easier on the wallet. Picked up a few items. Checkout was smooth. The ladies behind the were very polite. The blonde haired woman helped me checkout. During our conversation, I had mentioned it was my first in-store visit. She cheerfully said, Well Thank you for visiting us today and hope you come back soon.” Overall, it was worth the hour and a half drive…rain or shine.
