  I used to love this store, now every time I enter I’m being swarmed by workers( I know they are doing their jobs) asking me to sign up for a credit card. I already have their credit card but even after you tell them no they keep going on about it.

  I will start by saying some of the people there are really great but others not so much. The guy in question has sold me 3 bows now with no problems until today and he wasn't even the one that sold this particular bow to me. He just had to deal with an exchange. I had a bow blow up on me that gave me a nasty wound on my forearm from the limb splitting causing the arrow to explode that sent shrapnel directly into my arm. Hurts so bad that I can barely put pressure on it or use that arm for much of anything, even driving with it. Thank God I had my sunglasses on to protect my eyes. I went back to exchange the bow for a new one. Everybody was cool about the situation but the one older guy that has worked there for years. He wanted to give me the display bow. I didn't want one that everybody has handled already and done who knows what with it. I asked if I could have one from the back. He proceeds to be extremely rude and passive aggressive about the whole situation with his responses. He goes back and couldn't find one so I decided to just go with what I originally bought. He brings out one of those and tries to bring me up to the front. I ask if he could mount the scope for me. He rolls his eyes and makes a big deal out of it. Said this is why we give the display bows because they are already put together. I've already explained why I dont want one of the displays. That should have been the end of the questions about it. I paid $2300 for everything I should have a say in what I get. Look if you don't want to do your job just quit and find another job. No need to be a smart aleck about it. I used to really like this guy but he REALLY rubbed me the wrong way today. After a few more negative comments about mounting the scope I said just forget it I'll mount the scope myself and walked to the front to finish the exchange because I'd had enough of his attitude at that point. I was really close to just asking for my money back. I don't know if he was just having a bad day or what but that is not how you handle yourself professionally and I've worked for the public so I know how it goes. I should have told a manager about his behavior while I was there but didn't because I'm way to nice and let way to much stuff slide in my everyday life but this has ate at me enough the rest of the day to make me come back for a review. I'm sick and tired of being treated like this especially by people that work for the public and this is not my first negative encounter with this Bass Pro shop. I'm lucky the injury to my arm wasn't worse than what it is and I really hope that I dont have any carbon splinters in my arm from the shrapnel I received. Only time will tell when the swelling goes down. I have a witness to his behavior as well and he was just as surprised as I was at his behavior. Do better! If it wasn't for his behavior this would be a 5 star review for the way everything was handled from the day before when I bought the bow to today with how well everyone else handled this situation. Everyone else handled themselves professionally and one went out of their way to make my experience great the day of buying the bow. Just goes to show how a few bad apples can really ruin an establishment!
