  I came in yesterday and the service was amazing. I'm older and have gained weight recently and i had a styling appointment and was helped by Ashlynn, she was great she made me feel confident in the jeans i bought and went above and beyond when trying to find my size and colors, i left with 4 pairs that i will definitely get my moneys worth out of!

  Earlier this month, I purchased a pair of jeans, and after recently taking the tags off, I wore them on a trip. My friend noticed that the denim was uneven and appeared to be scuffed in several places. I called customer service, explained the situation, and was told that since I was still within the return policy, I could simply take them back to the store. However, when I arrived, the manager told me they couldn’t do anything because the jeans had been “worn” and no longer had the tags attached. I had already explained both of those things to customer service over the phone. I even asked if there was any possibility of receiving store credit if a return or exchange wasn’t possible, but the manager was rude and simply repeated the same explanation I had already been given three times. Apparently, the lesson here is to inspect every little detail of your purchase outside of their poorly lit fitting rooms before you buy it. Better yet, shop somewhere that doesn’t effectively prevent returns simply because an item has been slightly worn. Isn’t that the point of clothing? I’m sure countless items are tried on in fitting rooms and ultimately not purchased. The whole situation makes very little sense, and both the in-store and phone customer service are mediocre at best.

  The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The store is usually always neat and the fitting rooms are clean.

  I purchased a new pair of jeans from American Eagle Outfitters about three weeks ago. I’ve only worn them three times, and the back seam has already split wide open during normal wear. I brought them back to the store hoping for an exchange or refund, but was told that because they had been worn and washed, nothing could be done. That response was frustrating—washing new clothes before wearing them is completely standard, and a pair of jeans should not fall apart after just a few uses. This feels like a clear quality issue, and I expected better from a brand like American Eagle. I’m very disappointed in both the product and the lack of support in-store. I’d appreciate someone from the company reaching out to make this right.
