The vision of our 501(c3) nonprofit organization is that ALL people have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential through the power of work.Goodwill of Middle Tennessee is based in Nashville, TN, and serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee. Although affiliated with Goodwill Industries International in Rockville, Md., we operate independently through our own governing board of directors. Goodwill accepts gently-used items that donors no longer want, need or use. Those items are sold, and the revenue helps fund job training services and programs provided by Goodwill Career Solutions. In addition to retail sales, Goodwill depends on several other revenue sources, including state and local grants.

- SSScottAug 1, 20261.0I used to love to stop by this location after work to decompress and see what cool things I could find. Now I rarely even waste my time. I used to spend around $70-$100/day on treasures I found, now I hardly spend a dollar and often walk out with nothing (when I choose to go, that is). It seems that they are sending anything of value (and I mean ANYTHING!) to be sold online so they can make profit to pay their high-ups $700k+ per year. Very sad when this is supposed to be a company that helps the local people. All that is on the shelf’s are broken electronics, scratched dvds, and cracked dishes. Not to mention that literally all of the clothes has some sort of dramatic flaw that, in some cases, makes it unwearable. I looked for 2 minutes in the men’s shorts and found two pairs with rips in the crotch (see photos). Sad that they would even waste someone’s time to tag it and put it on the shelf. Every time I find something of any value, I look more closely at it and find a flaw. They are literally sending every good item to be sold on eBay. Very sad goodwill, very sad. And shame on the manager who allows this to happen.
