On January 1, 2026, I purchased a suit and applied for the Belk credit card to receive a discount. The same day, I paid for the suit in full. Despite this, the purchase was also charged to the Belk credit card, and that balance is still showing as unpaid. For the past five months, I have been billed for this charge and it has negatively impacted my credit, even though I already paid for the suit on the day of purchase. I have gone back to the store and spoke with a manager, who contacted the credit card company and assured me the issue would be resolved. Unfortunately, nothing has been corrected. I have kept all receipts as proof that the suit was paid in full on January 1, 2026, and the item has never been worn due to this ongoing dispute. At this point, it appears I am being asked to pay for the same purchase twice. I am requesting immediate correction of this billing error, removal of any negative credit reporting related to this account, and written confirmation once the matter has been resolved. Please address this issue promptly. 😡🤷♂️
