I wouldn’t bother bringing anything here unless you actually need money and even then you might get enough for lunch. Better off donating it! They barely acknowledge you, are not friendly/inviting, and I’m pretty sure my latest visit they didn’t even look through my items (I had bags full of stuff barely worn some new with tags) and considering what was on their racks they COULDNT have looked thoroughly. Whatever they buy or don’t buy I don’t really care I usually let them keep whatever’s left to donate but honestly didn’t even feel comfortable doing that because the entire time I was made to feel like a bother.

Honestly, I should’ve listened to my intuition because I was right. Don’t visit this place. We went to Uptown Cheapskates in Murfreesboro and they were so friendly!!! They actually looked through the clothes too.
My experience at Plato’s Closest was a bit different. The woman up front, I’m assuming was the manager, stated that it would take at least 20 minutes to sort through the clothes…We stayed in the store the whole time and looked over periodically….She didn’t even look!! She claimed she couldn’t find anything and was acting super shady/off. I think she might’ve been on something because her face looked all twisted during each interaction. I remained friendly because I know how retail can be, but she just seemed so off.
It was so weird. I would recommend you visit any place but here. Don’t waste your gas or your time. It’s a mess. Maybe the Murfreesboro location is better.

I’ll probably never ever come back here. I have come here to drop off clothes and they take like 1 or 2 items and want to give me $3 for it when I brought in tons of clothes and they are really good clothes in great condition. So thank you Plato’s closet for NOTHING. Yall have lost a customer forever

The staff is friendly, mindful of your time and the price is fair - not great but that's how this works.
If you read bad reviews please keep in mind it could be people with bad attitudes thinking their clothes are great but they're not and just raggedy.
No one wants to purchase used clothes that are dirty, full of pet hair, smoke and pilling.
Purge your closet. Buy new stuff. Keep Plato in biz.
