  I am extremely disappointed with the customer service my mother received from a Belk store manager, Tanya (or Tonya), today. On August 8, an employee at the store assisted me with placing an online order for a pair of shoes for my mother because the store did not have her size. The employee accidentally ordered the wrong color, and when the shoes arrived today, my mother contacted the store to explain the mistake. Unfortunately, instead of helping resolve an issue caused by the store’s own ordering error, Tanya/Tonya was unnecessarily rude and sarcastic toward my mother. She made comments such as how she couldn’t “get in her car and bring” the correct shoes to my mother—something my mother never asked her to do—and made absolutely no meaningful attempt to correct the order or provide a reasonable solution. Thankfully, my mother contacted another Belk location, where a manager immediately helped reorder the correct shoes and even offered a discount for the inconvenience. THAT is what customer service should look like. Mistakes happen. What matters is how you treat the customer when they do. My mother should not have been made to feel as though she was somehow responsible for an error made by a Belk employee. We will absolutely be escalating this experience to Belk corporate. The treatment she received was unacceptable and completely unnecessary.

  Selection isnt great at Lancaster store and there is never anyone around to ask a question.

  I was pleasantly surprised with the quality selection of women's clothing at higher price point that this location had. On top of that-- they were having a great sale. I'd recommend signing up for email digital coupons.

  Love this belk! I always come for the nice people and great clothes!!!! 👍 When I come in always feel like I see great people like Tammy, Newlove, and Julia. My staple faces. Can't wait to be back again!!
