  Poor customer service. It was our first time there, we stopped in because one of my rings needed to tightened, nobody greeted us, we asked to speak to the jeweler to talk about the tightening, the jeweler didn’t come out to talk to us, or perhaps the woman who we asked to speak with the jeweler and who said things like “I know for a fact that can’t just be tightened”, didn’t ask him/her for us. She was much more concerned with being right and sitting on her stool than helping us. She also tried to sell us an entirely new setting, which is not why we were there. It simply needed tightening. She also said “give me your ring, I’ll clean it”, which was odd because it needs tightening, it might not be safe to clean, and because she should have asked if I would have liked to cleaned first. I declined that request. I should mention that I typically get it tightened once per year and I was able to get it tightened at another jeweler without issue. I won’t be returning and it is shame because my husband and I were very much looking forward to visiting this jeweler, we saw the commercials, and were looking to establish a long term relationship with a jeweler in the area, as we just moved here. There are these types of jewelers that turn you away, try to sell you things, make you feel like theirs is better without any regard for the sentiments associated with jewelry, make you feel like you are bothering them when you walk in, and then there are the types that want to build relationships, care about the pieces, have readily available experts who can make a quick tighten to limit concerns, and who take care of both the pieces and the customers with a smile. I will continue my search for the latter in the area. Do better and perhaps sales associates should simply defer service needs to experts or maybe even have service people on the floor to help.

  I just wanted to take a minute to mention how great Elliott has been at Hale's Jeweler. She is so patient, and takes time to educate you on each watch. We have spent a couple days reviewing options, and she is always so thorough and helpful. I couldn't recommend Elliott more. Hale's is also such a nice boutique, and such a nice change from the big box retailers! Thank you!

  We got our engagement ring and wedding bands here with Elliott. They all turned out phenomenal! Elliott was super friendly and helpful with designing our rings, and we are very happy with them. She was able to accommodate me getting my own lab diamond for the engagement ring to keep it within budget, and was super patient with the multiple changes we made to get to the final designs. Great product, and great store. We will be going back to Elliott every time we buy jewelry from now on. Thanks Elliott!

  After my first visit to Hale‘s jewelers, I understand how they have been in business for 170 years. They were quick to offer assistance. Kevin was knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. They have a great selection and we will definitely be back!
