Have always loved spots like these since I can remember. Wish I could’ve gone to a bass pro as a youngin as it would’ve been a dream come true. Took a trip here looking for a new good quality but not to crazy priced bass rod and reel and some good line and bait, and the sweet lady behind the counter helped me out for around 20 minutes and made me feel at home. Warning though- if you take your kids here they might never wanna leave 🤣🤣

FYI, if you go in and have social anxiety (especially towards pushy salespeople) avoid staying too long around the fish. They have a Hilton kiosk set up right there with a salesperson that 100% has orders to be very pushy about selling you a trip. I don't blame the sales person, they are probably under corporate orders to not stop pushing until the person says no 3 seperate times. I don't enjoy having to dodge and weave a salesperson using every trick in the Training handbook. You are forced to feel rude to get out of it, a very manipulative and intentional sales tactic. Felt like being hearded into a timeshare scam. I think browsing frugal macdoogal will be the choice next time we are in the area instead. Pretty antiques in the gun library tho, shame they had to partner with Hilton. Again, I do not blame the sales person, I know the things they are ordered to do, I blame Hilton and BPS/Cabellas. We went ahead and avoided the vehicle section out of fear of the other salespeople.

I love this place. To me I would have given it 5 starts if it wasn't for as soon as you walk through the doors you have employees greeting you to sign up for a credit card, then as you walk in the store you have people trying to sign you up for time shares. I avoid entire parts of the store because I constantly get approached by people that I just said no to 10 minutes earlier

6/26/26 Update/Edit: they reached out to me and heard me out. They took effort a to make things right and I was grateful. Everyone I spoke with and that helped me was great and respectful. Very happy with this follow up experience and would rate this last experience 5 stars. Updated to 3 stars to average the experiences together.

I called this store today about a gun because it was showing in stock (online) at this location. I wanted to make sure it was in stock before I drove 40-50 minutes one way. I told them which gun I was looking at and the price. They confirmed they had 3 in stock. They took my name and phone number down and said they would hold one for 24hrs.
An hour later I drive 40-50 minutes one way and they bring out the gun which was a different color and 2x the price of the gun I was looking at (with my name and number on it). Then they informed me they didn’t have it in stock and the ones they did have were already sold online (the entire reason I called in the first place was to avoid this).
Did not offer to make anything right at all and sent me back on my 40-50 min drive home. Very disappointed with this experience as I was supposed to be picking up my son’s first gun.

This was my first-ever visit to a Bass Pro Shops, and wow — talk about jumping into the deep end of the outdoor‑gear universe. The place is massive, with a huge selection of merchandise covering very many outdoor “I might need this someday” impulses you can imagine. Prices were very reasonable too, which is always a pleasant surprise in a specialty store.
The staff really stood out. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging — the kind of people who clearly enjoy what they do and are happy to help you find exactly what you’re looking for (or didn’t know you were looking for).
The store itself is clean, organized, and easy to navigate despite its size. It’s the kind of place where you can wander for an hour without realizing it… which is exactly what I did. I went in “just to browse,” and I’m honestly impressed with myself that I managed to leave empty‑handed. That might be my greatest personal achievement of the week.
If you need outdoor gear — or just want to explore a fun, well‑run store — I definitely recommend stopping by.
