I think whoever manages this store needs to have a serious conversation with the staff about professionalism, discretion, and common sense. I was in the store on September 24 around 5:30–6:00 p.m. and, while in the fitting room, overheard several employees discussing the tragic case involving the CHP physician who had been killed by an intruder the night before. One employee, who appeared to have just started her shift and had dark hair and a white shirt, was openly discussing how her day had gone while caring for children who live next door to the physician’s family. She explained that those children are friends and neighbors of the physician’s children, and that the physician’s children had run to their house that night after what happened. She then went on to discuss how traumatized the children were and other very personal details surrounding the situation. This entire conversation was taking place between employees in the fitting room area, with no idea who may have been listening. I personally know the family, and I was absolutely appalled to hear such sensitive details about children who had just experienced an unimaginable tragedy being casually discussed in a public workplace. Please speak with your staff about basic discretion and privacy. A grieving family, especially children involved in something this traumatic, deserves far more respect than this.

Welcoming and super clean store! It was easy to find what I needed not only from the help of staff but from how organized everything was! The manager, Chelsea was also super helpful! She runs a clean shop! Highly recommended!

Really disappointed with my experience at Aerie. When I was checking out, I asked about a discount and the manager (assuming she was) was rude and not welcoming. She acted like she didn’t believe me and made me walk over and show her the discount myself. I felt bad for the cashier because she seemed new and was very nice, but the manager’s attitude made the whole experience uncomfortable. Unfortunately, because of how I was treated, I won’t be returning.
