  Gift card system is a complete mess. Be prepared that if you receive a gift card and the customer service confirm that it’s valid, you still may not be able to use it. I spent an entire hour in the store while the staff tried to make my gift card work. Their only solution? to pay with another payment method. What a convenient business model: sell gift cards that customers can’t actually use, then make them pay out of pocket anyway, only to say “you can use the gift card online next time” after they’ve already driven to the store, spent their time shopping and picked out everything they wanted. I’ll order something for my mom so my friend’s gift isn’t wasted but after that I’ll never shop at intimissimi again.

  Beware!! if someone gives you an Intimissimi gift card, there’s a good chance you won’t be able to use it. My friend gave me a gift card for Christmas last year. I live about 1.5 hours away from KOP mall and since it’s really hard for me to find the right size online I prefer in the store shopping. I made the trip once but couldn’t decide on anything. Before leaving I specifically asked whether the gift card expired and I was told it didn’t, so I decided to come back another time. It took me a while to make another trip but when I finally did, I picked out two sets and a robe, planned to pay with the gift card and cover the remaining balance with my credit card. Instead, I spent like 40 minutes or even more at the register because the gift card wouldn’t work. Looks like since the card was purchased, they changed their system from chip cards to barcodes. Fine! but the card still has its unique card number as well as the 4-digit PIN hidden under the scratch-off strip, which the sales person scratched off right there at the register. I even offered to provide the information of the person who purchased the gift card for me. After many failed attempts and a call to the manager, the only solution they offered was for me to pay for everything myself using another payment method. The store got to keep the $100 that was already paid for the gift card and I ended up paying for my purchases out of pocket anyway. Good for them I guess. Three days of completely pointless back and forth with customer service led nowhere. They confirmed that my gift card was PERFECT VALID, yet they never offered any compensation for the time I wasted because of their system failure. Also declined to take the gift card and reimburse me $100. Their solution? Drive back to the store, spend another 3 hours of my life returning the items and then use the gift card ONLINE the next time. Seriously?? This was an absolute nightmare. I’ve purchased a lot of pajamas and lingerie from Intimissimi over the years but it was definitely my last shopping experience with this store. NEVER AGAIN!
