  Scam artists, they sent a message saying 40% off EVERYTHING! Imagine my surprise when 3 different items I chose were all not even close to 40% off. what is the point of sending me a message, don’t waste your time like me

  Here’s the hook: American Eagle mailed me Marijuana Underwear.* *This is not a review of this specific location so much as it is a review of the company and a recent experience I had ordering online. I am trying to gain some public traction by leaving a public review as American Eagle’s customer service is refusing to refund me for this issue, which I think is unjust. Nothing I state in this review is an issue towards any employees at the specific location I am leaving this review. Now, for some more detail. I attempted recently to become a first time customer of American Eagle, and purchased ten pairs of underwear through Aerie’s online store. My package arrived on Tuesday, August 4, and the second I opened it, I was flooded with the strongest stench of marijuana smoke possible. I was so incredulous and was like, this can’t be right. I went and grabbed my partner to ask them, and the second they walked in the room they were like, whoa, why does it smell like weed in here? Confused, and also panicking a bit at how badly the smell was in my apartment which is in a shared building, I opened each individual wrapping of the underwear in the package, and the smell only got worse!!! So it was not just contained in the outer wrapping of the package, but the smell was coming from the underwear itself. I offer no attempts at explanations as to how this could have happened. I can only attest that this is my genuine experience ordering from AE. I’ve included a photo of the underwear I ordered just as some proof I’m not trolling, but unfortunately you can’t capture smell in photos lol. American Eagle has been incredibly obstinate and unhelpful about refunding for this issue. I have attempted to call their customer service line, who told me they would need to have a customer service rep reach out over email and I’d need to wait 5 days. I was finally contacted by email by Haley S. from their customer support team, who proceeded to insist I need to go drop the package off to get a refund. I keep explaining to American Eagle that I live far from a store and do not have a car, and that this would be a huge hardship, but they refuse to take responsibility for the issue they have caused. I am posting this here in case someone from the company sees it and is actually willing to help refund me. Also, I hope to warn other consumers about American Eagles apparent lack of quality standards in shipping and lack of customer care policy.

  majority of the employees here are very rude, blunt, and bitter. the store itself is fine.
