- RZRose Zook1 day ago1.0We went to the cashier to purchase a pair of women’s slides and a pair of leggings. One of the cashiers told us that the slides were on a buy one get 2 free sale promotion and said we should get a bathing suit or sunglasses, etc. we picked out a 2 piece bathing suit & when the cashier rang it up, it wasn’t truly a buy one get two free. The slides were the most expensive item at $18.00 and the leggings were on sale for $27.99, which meant that the total for all the items should have been $45.99; but when she rang the items up, the total was $67 and change. We were told that $ was charged for each of the 4 items so that in case we wanted to return something , we would always get money back. It makes no sense to me how you can advertise buy one get two free and then think you should charge me almost $22.00 for the”free” items. In my mind, that seems like false advertising. I am a very unhappy customer.

- AFAlan FosterMay 23, 20262.0Shopping at JC Penny Capital City. My wife was in the petite section. All the fitting rooms are blocked. I had to find some one. Spoke with a representative, she apologized & explained it. It does not make dollars or sense that they are blocked with no instructions. She agreed. Management knows about it but it is just not good business relations to block off and not provide instructions for fitting rooms. No one would guess to travel two sections over to the Carters baby section...when you are in womens petite. The jewelry section is not well stocked. Cabinet emptiness along with shelving just leaned up against an empty cashier section awaits customers. JC Penny's is sliding off the cliff of relevance.
- LTLori TaylorMay 19, 20264.0Very few people working in JC Penney today. Therefore, they had only one fitting room open for women and one for men, and maybe two registers open in the whole store. So, that was not fun. However, they do remain open, with a decent variety of clothing that I could try on. And, many of the items were in sale and/or qualified for the 25% off coupon. Also, the fitting room was clean.In my opinion, it is worse to order online, only to have to return most of the items and pay for shipping on the return! I would much rather purchase clothing I was able to try on first.
