  I had a terrible and extremely uncomfortable experience at Sunglass Hut with an employee named Dennis. I purchased a pair of glasses, and less than a month later, a bolt fell out. When I returned for help, Dennis told me the glasses were impossible to fix. That was completely untrue. I went to another Sunglass Hut location, where they offered me an exchange or repair and fixed the glasses on the spot. During the interaction, Dennis also unnecessarily mentioned that an African American woman had returned with the same problem. I found that comment very inappropriate and uncomfortable. I don’t understand what her race had to do with a defective pair of glasses or my situation. Dennis then sent me to LensCrafters, calling them a sister company, and suggested I complain there about a completely different pair of glasses I had purchased from LensCrafters. I told him I wasn’t comfortable doing that because the glasses I needed help with were purchased from Sunglass Hut, not LensCrafters. He also later claimed on the phone that I didn’t have a receipt and had told him I’d owned the glasses for three months. He never asked me for a receipt, and I clearly told him I purchased them less than a month ago. Instead of helping, Dennis repeatedly blamed his coworkers, saying they were trying to sell me glasses to make money and shouldn’t have sold me this particular pair because they were “bad glasses” that continued to break. Overall, Dennis was extremely unhelpful, dismissive, and made multiple statements that I found to be untrue. Between the unnecessary racial comment, blaming his coworkers, providing inaccurate information, and telling me my glasses couldn’t be repaired when another location fixed them immediately, the entire experience was unacceptable and uncomfortable. I believe Sunglass Hut management should seriously address how this employee handles and speaks to customers.

  Kyle was great! He helped us find new sunglasses and had such a positive attitude! He was patient with me while I was trying on sunglasses, and suggested a few styles. You don’t find many people like that nowadays. He was an extremely pleasant. If I ever need sunglasses again, i’ll be back here!
