  Don’t go within 30 minutes to close lol! Im sure my review is unlike the others simply due to the time I chose to shop but wow! I work retail and have worked retail for almost 7 years. I mention that only to say- I know how it feels to be ready to go home but I also know which clients get the treatment I received bc they are actually dilly dallying and delaying closing vs the ones who genuinely are in a hurry to grab a couple things and just didn’t have time to make it in sooner. I made it to blick with specific items in mind at 4:43 and was only approached at 4:50 to be informed that they close in ten minutes. Totally understand that but when you don’t even greet your client until you’re trying to get them to leave that leaves a sour taste. To follow; I’m approached at 4:52 by another employee to be told again “we close in 8 minutes “ I grabbed my last item and headed to the cash wrap. With the employees running around for about another two-three minutes likely trying to track down clients I kinda just sat around waiting when we could’ve been rung up sooner which was their goal-I digress. We get to the register and the entire time the staff is just rushing and short when interacting. I get it-I am the client who came in close to close -but I have personally always slowed down to make a decent connection with the client at the wrap , wouldn’t have mattered to me much if not for the incessant chatting just to rush us and then huffing and puffing at the register when speaking to us except to get our rewards info -which I’m sure is a KPI. we were out of the store by 5pm. Did I forget my card in my car too and have to run out and back in, totally did- I definitely won brownie points with the team then-But man, we did not linger later. We came with specifics in mind. And I was not perusing for the sake of it. I could’ve spent the money I did online or with a competitor. You’d think they have no sales goal throughout the day and generally do not want people shopping in there. First impression and likely will take my business elsewhere when I have more time to shop, or shop online. Signed-the absolute scoundrel who had the audacity to leave a business at closing time sharp bc I am lugging an infant around with limited transportation and wanted to make some art on my day off. (My receipt literally has the time stamp of 4:58pm.)
