Showed up, they should have been open, lights were on, door was locked and no answer on the phone when called. Sad I was very excited

One of my favorite stops.on Route 66. Gene is only 84 years old. Will probably be there for at least 16 more year. Prices are incredibly fair. A little of everything in the large store. No booths, Gene owns it all.

A nice store to look around for antiques, including glasswares. Lady at the front counter was very friendly with a warm greeting when we walked in, and that she also offered us some recommendations other antique markets around. While my mom and I went shopping here on 7/25 on our last two days of our summer vacation at the Grand Lake, I purchased a couple ice cream glass cups identical to that one we had in the house, but either broke or was lost before we happened to buy this set of two glasswares. The lady at the counter was also quite considerate and had some newspapers and other protective wrapping materials to ensure the glasswares remained intact, including while we headed for home back to NW Iowa.

It’s always fun to stop in here and see what old stuff is new. I bought some stuff and had a nice visit.
