  Selection has gone down hill over the years and prices just keep going up, also wont give you bags to carry books out anymore

  Went in today to browse and looked forward to a relaxing time selecting books to purchase. What I encountered was an atmosphere liking to the arctic - was absolutely freezing in the store for no reason. Outside was a comfortable 72F but inside, the air conditioner was blasting at full power with the overall store being close to 65F or below. Finally, it was too cold for myself or the friend I was with to shop comfortably, so upon leaving I stopped by the desk to advise them why I was departing. The individual (male) that I encountered was probably the most unhelpful, apathetic, individual I've ever encountered. I was simply sharing with him the reason I was leaving was that it was absolutely too cold in the store for myself or my friend to comfortably shop and he garnered an attitude like "what do you expect me to do about it" even going as far as saying "well, I guess I can get a manager so you can complain to them." I wasn't complaining, I was simply sharing feedback from a customer perspective that the store was uncomfortably cold. At one point he said, 'well, I guess I can see if we can turn the heat on" to which I replied, "forget the heat, just adjust the air conditioner to a more comfortable setting - something like 73F - 75F instead of the arctic setting it's currently set on". I anticipate my feedback didn't go anywhere except in the garbage and chalked up as "it's not my problem - just another complaining customer." Ironically, the 3 other individuals I observed in the store likewise had their arms crossed in front of them or hands deep in their pockets obviously trying to stay warm. Maybe this is why the store only had 3 customers plus the 2 of us. My suggestions, save some money on your electric bill and adjust the thermostat to a comfortable 73F - 75F as well as empower employees to take ownership of customers concerns and address them in a positive manner instead of the "I don't know what you expect me to do about it" attitude that I encountered today.
