  Avoid this location, especially if you are shopping with children. I came in today (4/27/26) around 2 PM to buy softball equipment for my daughters. While I was supervising them, my 10-year-old was accosted by a sales associate who loudly accused her of "playing on a skateboard" and demanded we put it away. My daughter was actually just wearing her own Heelys (shoes with wheels) and had already put the skateboard back on the rack (see photo). When I explained this, the associate became argumentative and defensive rather than apologizing for the mistake. We spoke with the manager, Barbara, who was dismissive and offered no resolution other than saying she’d "review the tapes." To top it off, as we walked out, the replacement associate gave us a snarky "have a good day" that felt like a final insult. We walked out without buying a single thing. I went home and immediately bought the equipment on Amazon (invoice attached). As a local resident, I wanted to support this store, but Dunham’s literally watched a guaranteed sale walk out the door because they chose to harass a child instead of providing basic customer service. We won’t be back.

  I just don’t understand why many of the employees there are extremely short and rude. I have given this place multiple chances, when I go in, I make sure to say please and thank you and be kind to every person I interact with there. On rare occasions that I do have questions or need help, the employees act like they can’t be bothered, I’m sure they are underpaid but if your job is so bad that you feel that it’s okay to treat people poorly you should try to find a non-customer facing job.
