- PAPatrick AsdellAug 4, 20261.0I was in the market for a new to me, pre-owned Breitling to celebrate a new job and this dealer is right in my back yard so I figured I’d stop in to check out their selection and mostly to see what a 46 mm Navitimer looked like on my wrist. Spoke with an older gentleman who I’m assuming is their “Breitling guy”. Told him I was in the market but budget likely wouldn’t allow for anything but pre-owned. He instantly went into a spiel about how “he wouldn’t do that” because when I needed it serviced, Breitling either wouldn’t do it because I wasn’t the original owner and if they did it would be 6-7 thousand dollars. After some more research, Breitling will absolutely service a pre-owned genuine watch, regardless of who purchased it. Also, a full Breitling service is around $1000 USD unless there is significant damage or replacement parts are needed. I figured he misspoke or was really trying to over-sell me, however, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. So, fast forward several weeks when I purchased a beautiful pre-owned dream watch of mine and wanted to confirm its water stable prior to everyday use (washing hands, showers, etc). I wanted to give Meyers another chance. I called and sure enough this gentleman was put on the phone to help me. He proceeded to tell me that the ONLY way for the watch to be tested is for it to be sent to Breitling directly and that would cost $1,100 (which is how I figured out how much their full service actually cost….). Wrong again. Spoke with several other well-known jewelers in the Columbus area, one of which confirmed they can do dry pressure/water testing for my specific model and that I could expect it to take a month at most and cost between $25-50 USD. I will not be going back to Meyers because they simply do not know what they are talking about.

Can you remount jewelry?
Yes! Give your diamond a new life. At Meyers Jewelers, we will remount any of your colored stones and diamonds into bracelets, earrings, pendants, or ring mountings of your choice. We are also happy to refurbish and revitalize worn or aged family heirloom pieces to your liking.
Does Meyers have a warranty?
All Meyers jewelry is covered by a one year warranty from the date of purchase. If the item is a specific brand that carries a longer warranty that will then apply. For example Breitling Watch carries either a 2 year or 5 year warranty depending on the model, therefore that will be the length of your warranty. At Meyers jewelers we have a 5 day return policy and a 30 day exchange policy, all from the date of purchase.
What is the quality of diamonds Meyers uses?
Most Meyers designs use diamonds with SI clarity and G color. Of course, the beauty of Meyers's designs is that we can customize to the customer's specific needs, so the customer is welcome to choose their own quality of diamond. If the piece of jewelry is brand specific then the quality will depend on the brand.
Can I customize my Meyers ring?
We specialize in custom orders designed to be your "dream ring!" We realize that customers have different tastes and different needs, and we do our best to cater to those requests. *Custom orders such as custom engagement rings and custom wedding rings do often take longer to create and there may be added costs, depending on the specifications of the project.
