  Place is terrible, turned down my Nike shoes because of creasing, there used but will some Levi’s shoes. This plays sucks. They want you to sell brand new shoes to offer you terrible prices

  We visited this location on Wednesday 6/10/26 around 4:15pm to sell a pair of (blue with pink stripes) ASICS women's running shoes in very very good used condition. After checking the shoes for about 5 minutes, we were offered an extremely low price of $5.00, or $6.50 in store credit. These shoes brand new have a retail value of $100.00 to $120.00. My partner who trusted the judgement of management accepted the offer believing it was fair, and was not given or offered a receipt. After doing some research, we realized the price offered had no justification as this was an expensive product and the quality was excellent. We believe management took advantage of the seller's lack of knowledge of the true value of the shoes and wanted to obtain them and avoid handing out a receipt. Plato's Closet should have at the very least have offered minimum $15.00 to $20.00 store credit, as this is the standard minimum for used items worth $100.00 or more, even with lower demand. We recommend never selling anything of significant value at this location. Will never sell or visit the Sawmill Rd location again, please avoid.
